Operational Finance Manager 

Purpose

Working in the Sheffield finance department to support the corporate finance team, undertaking purchase ledger tasks as well as supporting various departments of the Bluestone Group with a variety of responsibilities.

The primary objectives of the role are to:

  • Process invoices in a timely manner to ensure they are paid in accordance with due dates

  • Use accounting software to create BACS supplier payruns on a bi-monthly basis

  • Answering supplier queries with regards to invoices and passing these onto the relevant parts of the business if required.

  • Circulating monthly managers credit cards to collect receipts and input into accounting software, chasing managers where required.

  • Assisting with month end, all tasks to be completed by WD 4/5.

 

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet as these will be heavily used in the role

  • Check purchase orders have been coded correctly before processing

  • Create new suppliers in accounting software ensuring information used is accurate

  • Bi-monthly UK and Ireland supplier payruns to be created for payment, ensuring invoices are paid in accordance with due dates. Then sending supplier remittances.

  • Managerial credit card expenses are inputted into accounting software and chasing for receipts where required

  • Dealing with purchase enquiries from suppliers via email/telephone

  • Rolling over Google Sheets to forecast the cash position of the business.

  • Reconcile servicing and collections bank accounts.

  • Updating financial data in systems for both the UK and Ireland businesses.

  • Setting up daily cash sweeps and ensuring these are authorised by the finance team.

  • Reconciling bank statements to data in the system.

  • Accounts Ad Hoc Requests

  • Reconcile supplier statements
